Meet Christie Lynch Ebert | Owner/Creator of CLE Heartstrings

We had the good fortune of connecting with Christie Lynch Ebert and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Christie, let’s talk legacy – what do you want yours to be?
I want for my legacy to be that I fulfilled the mission of CLE Heartstrings to “lift spirits, connect hearts, and bring joy!” Whether that is through my handmade items, teaching, volunteering, or in any of my actions in everyday life, I hope people will remember me as a person who gave her everything to see things through with passion, caring, respect, and love – bringing joy and connectedness to others.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I make handmade items with the intention to lift spirits, connect hearts, and bring joy! My handmade angels are completely my designs, unique, and are what set me apart from others. Custom angels of all kinds have become my specialty. The most gratifying part of my business is meeting people and learning their stories. I have created many customized memorial angels commemorating those who have passed – such as for the family of a 20-week old baby who passed shortly after birth, to a set of angels for two teenage sisters tragically killed in a car accident, to an 18-year old young lady who died from drug overdose, to honoring a step-parent who served our country and died of cancer just after the holidays – and to many husbands, wives, grandparents, relatives, and others whose loved ones want something to honor and remember those they have lost. These angels serve as a reminder that our loved ones are always with us and some have tags, charms, stained hearts with names of loved ones, cardinals, or other symbols. Many of my angels are also given as a symbol of comfort, healing, and love – often with a special message or prayer attached. When I see pictures or hear stories about angels I have created hanging beside a loved one’s hospital bed, placed on a mantel or bedside table, hung on a wall as part of a memorial, or otherwise displayed, I hope that these pieces bring feelings of comfort, peace, and love to their recipientsFor me, the most rewarding aspect of being an artist/creative is the connection with people and the community. Knowing that I have made something that speaks to someone and brings them joy brings me joy. Being asked to create something especially for a customer or someone they love is rewarding because I know how it will be used and that it will touch someone’s life.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My husband, children, and parents have loved and supported me through all of my dreams and goals in life! In terms of community, I can not say enough how rewarding it has been to meet other makers and connect with them, as well as the customers who visit my business or contact me through my online store. Every person has a story and connections are constantly made. The people I have had the pleasure to work with or meet through my business are not just colleagues or customers but are considered cherished members of my extended family!
