Meet Chef Lovee | Personal Chef & Caterer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Chef Lovee and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Chef, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factors behind my success & the success of my brand are obsession, consistency, and discipline. I’m a strong believer of comparison being the thief of joy, and with the ability to see glimpses of other’s success via social media, I’ve had moments or feeling left out or left behind. However, the more I started to become obsessed with my own brand instead of others, staying consistent even when things seemed to be going slow, and staying disciplined enough to show up even when I didn’t feel like it has really changed the game for me. The only person I started to compare myself to, was who I was yesterday. I stopped looking outward for validation after realizing that had me stagnant and hindered my creativity, and I started looking inward and worked at increasing my own knowledge and improving my skills.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
MixingMama is a luxury & celebrity personal chef business that aims to provide exclusive culinary experiences to high-profile clients, including celebrities, executives, and affluent individuals. By offering personalized menus, exceptional culinary skills, and discreet service, we’ve established ourselves as the go-to provider of luxury dining experiences. We have come very far from where we started, and I am most proud of our ability to re-brand, strategize, and keep growing without putting any limitations on how far we can go. It has not been easy at all, and similar to any business, we have our ups & downs. Some seasons are great, some seasons are slower, but still staying focused, persistent, and not giving up hasn’t been easy. The way I’ve been able to overcome those hard times has been by paying attention to the conversations I have with myself. Not speaking negatively or having negative thoughts is important to me. By focusing on the now and taking it one day at a time, has helped me calm down whenever I start to feel overwhelmed. In addition to that, being mindful of my day to day habits and also being productive and not just busy, has helped me keep moving forward even when I felt like I wasn’t moving at all. I’ve learned that people treat you the way you treat yourself, and what you believe about yourself sets the stage for what other people will believe & how far you’ll go. You have to be able to see your vision in your mind, and work on it daily. Every big goal (that’s not a fantasy-like hitting the lottery), can be accomplished by breaking it down into small steps. When the future looks dark or you feel like you can’t see clearly, as long as you can see the foot in front of you, focus on that and the next step. I want the world to know that you can truly be anything that you want to as long as you believe in yourself, as cliche as that might sound. That doesn’t mean it will be easy, but it all starts in your mind.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
This part is still a little difficult for me because I’m still learning the area myself. A place I went to recently that I do really like is a little place called The Merchant.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are two books that have changed my life and deserve a little credit in my story. Those books are Atomic Habits by James Clear & The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle.
