We had the good fortune of connecting with Charlene Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Charlene, what are you inspired by?
I’m inspired by the under-dog. The ordinary, every day person who doesn’t let their station in life dictate their possibilities.

The ordinary person who does extraordinary things with the small tine they have been giving on this earth.

I’m inspired by my husband who beat the odds. Daily my children we push through every single day to come out on top. My Amazing mother who raised 8 wonderful children, my father who taught me to be thoughtful in my actions. My sisters who show me what delicate strength looks like. My brothers who are such pillars to our family and the community at large. And my friends who stand with me, encourage me and walk in their own greatness every single day!
Most of all I’m inspired by faith, that has made me who I am before you today!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
In a world filled with possibilities, faith can be the guiding light illuminating our path. For me, faith isn’t just a belief; it’s the foundation upon which I built IDS Haircare Products.

Growing up, I was fascinated by the transformative power of haircare. But it wasn’t until I encountered Christ that I truly understood the potential for profound change, both within ourselves and in the world around us.

Driven by a deep-seated belief in the boundless capabilities granted through faith, I embarked on a journey to merge my passion for haircare with my unwavering devotion to Christ. IDS Haircare Products became more than just a business venture—it became a testament to the power of belief and perseverance.

Through every formula crafted and every bottle filled, I sought to infuse the essence of faith into each product, knowing that true beauty radiates from within. I wanted to create more than just haircare solutions; I wanted to offer a tangible reminder that all things are possible through Christ for those who believe.

With IDS Haircare Products, I aim to not only enhance the health and vitality of hair but also to inspire individuals to embrace their inner strength and potential. Each package includes a bible verse. My journey is a testament to the transformative power of faith and the profound impact it can have on our lives and those around us.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I am actually preparing for some friends to visit. I certainly would show them around the wonderful city of Raleigh, NC.

I would first take the to visit my hair salon and then to our store front in downtown Raleigh, 12 Martin Street inside The Self Care Market. Inside they would find amazing curated items by local vendors who are on the rise.

We would then head to one of my all time favorit roof-top resturants. Where they could enjoy good food, music and get a great view of our city!

Maybe a nice cruise around the town and give them a chance to check up the growth of the city and the beautiful real estate Raleigh has to offer.

Because, I’m a laid back person, we would probably head back to my home where I would have a caterer prepare a quiet meal or either we would sit in n the back yard light of the grill and listen to music as the sound of the pond on the property adds ambience to the night.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Wow, there are so many people who I could include in this list but I think I’ll focuse on 3. 1st My Faithful Mother- Bessie Coleman she died in 2018- She always encouraged me that I could do ANYTHING my heart desired. If there was a “will” to do something you will “find” a way. That statement has grown in me to be sooooo true. Life is only limited if you decide you don’t want to pursue after your unlimited opportunities.

2nd my Generous Family- My husband & children has been so selfless. They have allowed me to spend hours away from them to pursue my goals. Many long nights and days working and not being available for unfortunately some important moments in their lives in the past. But I’m glad that moving forward my efforts will pay off

3rd my mentorship program leaders- Lisa, Tim & Gabe- with EntreBeliever- Wow stumbling across this group on my social media took me to a internal place I needed to get to the next level. Having a group of people who have no personal connection to you, yet want to pour into you just so u can reach your GREATEST Potential has been life changing for me. Lisa prayed and believed in me just when I needed it the most. she helped me break past the invisible wall of fear I placed in my way as an excuse to not fail or be disappointed. She encouraged me that failure isn’t an option only opportunities to learn from my journey. This has been transformational inside of me
