Meet Carlotta Harper | Entrepreneur & Educator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Carlotta Harper and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Carlotta, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
Work life balance has changed dramatically along with so many other things in this generation. We used to work more away from home to now many work from home. It has opened the door to flexibility for many. Being entrepreneur one of the first things you want is flexibility. You make your own hours, so now 9-5 jobs allow work from home. I balance more as i get older and wiser to have more fun. I love to travel so make sure, i take a trip as much as possible. Once i return i feel refreshed and ready for the next chapter. Work , family, personal, and most importantly SELF . You must take care of yourself, after while your unable to due being depleted . So balance is Key.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well my favorite area is the Glenwood area. Restaurants like Perry’s , J.Alexander’s, and a few more. Not to mention close to our biggest Mall here in Raleigh Crabtree Mall. We also have great lil hidden gems downtown Raleigh, like a historic pub London Bridge, awesome Sunday evening scene. We also would definitely go by the homeless shelter to see what we can donate or help with, to balance humanity and society.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
