Hi Carice, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?

Starting my own business stemmed from a desire for independence, creative expression, and the opportunity to pursue my passion on my own terms. I wanted to create something that reflected my values, expertise, and vision, while also making a positive impact in the industry. The thought of building something from the ground up, and having the freedom to innovate and grow, was incredibly motivating and empowering.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
At Pinnacle Affairs, we take pride in our commitment to excellence and innovation. What sets us apart is our unwavering dedication to delivering exceptional quality and personalized service to each client. We are particularly proud of our ability to tailor our offerings to meet the unique needs and preferences of our customers, ensuring that every experience is memorable and exceeds expectations.

Our journey to where we are today has been marked by perseverance, passion, and a relentless pursuit of excellence. While it hasn’t been easy, we have overcome numerous challenges by remaining adaptable, resilient, and focused on our goals. We have learned invaluable lessons along the way, including the importance of flexibility, adaptability, and continuous learning. Each obstacle has presented an opportunity for growth and improvement, ultimately shaping us into the business we are today.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?

Let me introduce you to the two places I proudly call home: Richmond, Virginia, and Raleigh, North Carolina.

Richmond, my hometown, offers an authentic taste of Southern hospitality and cuisine. Indulge in classic Southern cooking at renowned spots like Mama J’s, Croaker Spot, Southern Kitchen, or Lillie Pearls. Don’t miss Gelati’s Celesti for their iconic French Custard flavor. Explore cultural gems like the Virginia Fine Arts Museum, Science Museum, Byrd Theatre, and Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens. Whether you’re dining in Scott’s Addition, strolling Carytown, or enjoying the endless shopping in Short Pump or Chesterfield, Richmond has something for everyone.

As for Raleigh, it feels like a second home to me, reminiscent of Richmond’s charm. Spend leisurely days in North Hills, pampering yourself with a pedicure, sipping fresh juice, or indulging in Taco Tuesday at Chuy’s. Glenwood Avenue offers vibrant dining and networking opportunities, with downtown always bustling. And when the summer heat hits, there’s nothing like cooling off at Pelican’s with a custom snow cone, a taste of home away from home

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?

A heartfelt appreciation to my parents, whose unwavering strength and drive have been my guiding lights. My father, Carlos Coleman Sr., instilled in me the importance of self-employment and the power of ambition. His entrepreneurial spirit has been a constant inspiration. My mother, Patrice Coleman, has been the backbone of our family, ensuring our well-being and nurturing us with boundless love. I am indebted to her, as well as my grandmother, Dorothy Puryear, for their profound influence on my journey
