We had the good fortune of connecting with Cam Malone and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cam, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor I would say is consistency. Now don’t get me wrong I by no means have it all put together, but consistency has been proven to be one of the best tools used to get closer to your goals: success. When you are consistent in your craft you experience different outcomes, obstacles, even strategies within the journey. It breeds an unbreakable habit. It almost becomes second nature when you steadily work at something consistently.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Photography to me is the general interpretation of life. As soon as you lay eyes on any photo you create a visual construct on that subject. Whether that be ugly or beautiful it can be achieved by anyone. This takes great drive as does any other passion. You have to be willing to make the decision on what you really want and what it really takes. Being able to adapt when thew time comes is the difference success and failure. I promise the universe will always show the signs, all you have to do is listen. I want my work to be a vessel to what you believe Happiness to be.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I really want to give a shoutout to my grandmother Bernice Watson. Influence played a considerable amount in our relationship and it was through observing her work where I gained a passion for photography.
