Meet Cali Floyd | Creative, CEO & Entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Cali Floyd and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Cali, we’d love to hear more about your end-goal, professionally.
End goal? That is something I ponder daily. The end goal for me, is to be at peace, happy and abundant. I would like to be successful in all avenues that I am exploring currently, as well as a brick and mortar for Cali Chaos Customs. I am into fitness training, motivational speaking and I have a strong love for technology. Professionally, by the end of the year, I would like to have my store, be a traveling personal trainer and run a side business for troubleshooting/fixing computes, phones, etc. As long as I keep my eyes on the prize, my goals will be achieved.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What sets me apart from other artists in my line of business is my creativity and designs. I not only just make a shirt, I try to offer a splash of color using the tie dye method as well as implementing the acid washed, bleach style. I always loved being colorful and wearing different clothes because I do not have an interest in looking like everyone else. I always wanted things just for me, so clothing is one thing I can make mine. I offer that option to others, be unique, add color and make it yours!
I am most proud of being an owner of a business due to the experience. The experience of meeting people and creating or being provided opportunities. I got where I am today by faith, hard work, patience and perseverance. It was and is not easy. There are trying times but it is how you get through those times, that makes the reward even better. I overcame by learning from mistakes, giving myself grace and not beating myself up. I continued to remain professional at all times.
A huge lesson learned, is patience is a virtue. A little bit of patience can go a long way… have to have faith! I want the world to know that this is just the beginning of my story. Let’s call it Chapter 1. I am multitalented, motivated and confident in my strength to be successful and accomplish every goal set forth. Stay tuned!
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend were to visit, I’d ask which one! haha. Either way, we would definitely get food, first! To talk and eat good. Next up, we would visit a museum, go bowling, catch a movie or play laser tag. Since they would here a week, we would do something fun everyday, after brunch, chill and sight see.
The most interesting thing to check out, to me, is a museum. No matter what the museum is displaying, there is something to learn, like, dislike and a good conversation topic. I love to explore anything that has art, knowledge and good vibes.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Of course! Without them, there would be no Cali Chaos. My parents, Wiley and Corita Floyd, whom are my #1 supporters, hands down. My Father’s nickname that my Mother and I came up with, is Ruckus and Chaos. That is the name that inspired my business name. I hope that he would be okay with me sharing that, haha. My Mother always.. always encouraged me. No matter what I did in life, she always provided an encouraging word, quote, scripture, you name it! I truly believe her energy is what brings out my craft of encouragement through motivational speaking. The saying is true, the older you get, the more you act like your parents. I am truly my parents child. Mom, Dad, thank you for being you and supporting me. There was tough love provided, lessons learned and so much value I have received from being your child. Thank you for leading by example and having my back! I love you much.
