We had the good fortune of connecting with Bryn Khoury and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Bryn, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I started Our Day after my own wedding experience! I wanted an easier way to explain what I needed out of my wedding team and let vendors come to me with proposals to compare and decide on

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I spent the first 10 years of my career in Investment Banking Operations. At the time, I was planning my own wedding and wished something like that existed. I took advantage of the gap in the market, and Our Day was born. I have my degree in economics from Elon University where I was captain of my D1 tennis team my sophomore, junior and senior year. During my time at Elon, I won the John Kappas Economics award given to one student most likely to succeed in the field of economics. I also received the Arthur Ashe leadership award for my college division and Heart and Hustle award given to one student-athlete with the most grit.

Throughout my life I’ve achieved milestones despite being told they are not possible. I think anything is doable and that great things happen by a series of small things put together. Opportunities are everywhere and there is more than one way to get something done – diversity of minds separate good companies from great.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My family has been the biggest source of encouragement and support. My father is also an entrepreneur and taught me at a young age what it takes to run a business and have grit. He has been there every step of the way to mentor me.
