Hi Brandee, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
The journey to starting Faith Finds Boutique was a divinely inspired one, beginning with a layoff after 20 years that felt like a clear prompting from God towards a new path. My passion for shopping and clothing, which was once a personal interest, was repurposed by God for a greater good, transforming into a faith-based venture deeply rooted in Christian beliefs. This foundation is evident in the very name, “Faith Finds Boutique,” which speaks to both the act of discovering beautiful items and the underlying trust in God. Furthermore, the selection of clothing and jewelry is intentionally curated to align with Christian values, potentially emphasizing modesty, featuring inspirational messages, or supporting ethical and faith-based suppliers. My vision extends beyond just the products to include the involvement of fellow Christians in the work, fostering a community built on shared faith and purpose within the boutique. Ultimately, Faith Finds Boutique is a testament to the power of faith in action, transforming a personal passion into a meaningful endeavor with the potential to bless and connect with others.

At Faith Finds Boutique, our work is more than just selling clothing and jewelry; it’s about creating a space where faith and style intersect. What sets us apart is our deeply rooted Christian foundation, evident in our name, our carefully curated selections, and our desire to foster a community of like-minded individuals. I am most proud and excited about witnessing how this venture, born from a leap of faith, is resonating with others and becoming a tangible expression of God’s leading in my life. My professional background at Coty, where I gained experience in customer service, planning, inventory, and purchasing, has surprisingly provided a strong foundation for managing the various aspects of the boutique. However, the journey wasn’t without its challenges, particularly in the beginning when my family held reservations about the business’s potential. There were nights filled with tears, yet my unwavering belief that this was God’s intended path sustained me. Prayer became my constant companion and source of strength, trusting that God would work out the doubts and uncertainties. Today, I am overjoyed that the business is thriving, and my family now stands firmly behind me. The most significant lesson I’ve learned in the short time since opening in June 2024 is the undeniable importance of teamwork, realizing that collaboration is essential for turning dreams into reality. What I want the world to know about Faith Finds Boutique and my story is that when you prioritize God, give Him all the glory, and surrender control to His plan, true success is in His hands. It’s about letting go and letting God lead the way.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Without a doubt, the greatest credit and recognition belong first and foremost to God, the ultimate source of inspiration and guidance in this journey. Following His divine leading, a heartfelt shoutout is also due to my daughter, Kaylee Thomas, who was with me from the very beginning and whose unwavering support prevented me from turning back during moments of doubt. Immense gratitude is also owed to Pastor Scott Yow, whose generous provision of rental space was instrumental in bringing the vision of Faith Finds Boutique to life. Finally, sincere appreciation and recognition are due to my friend Lisa Oquinn, whose unwavering daily encouragement, belief in my ability, and consistent affirmation throughout the process – with her words of “you can do this” and “I am so proud of you” – were invaluable in sustaining and propelling this endeavor forward.
