Meet Bianca Anderson | Rising Herbalist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Bianca Anderson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Bianca, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Risk taking is a bigger part of the entrepreneur’s journey than I knew. From trying new flavors with customers, vending in new markets, budgeting and business investments, and the list goes on. The key is the learning along the way. Risks are lessons that help do things better.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Organic Royalz is a wellness business, that specializes in making sea moss gel, and encouraging healthier happier lifestyles. We have taken the already nutrient dense sea moss, and gelled/infused it with all organic non-GMO ingredients. We experience and witness the benefits of sea moss in our own lives, and want to share it with as many as we can. No, It was not easy. Sea moss is not too comfortable to take by itself. And by the time our children became old enough to eat it, they refused it (children will not lie when it comes to taste!). So we had to figure out how to make it so our little people would eat it with ease. Lo and behold, not only did we get them excited for their sea moss, we began giving it to family, and friends and they got excited for it as well! Things took off from there.
We have learned so many lessons along the way. One that really stands out is the lesson of flexibility. In business things do not always go as planned; for us it rarely did. Our built strength is the ability to go with the flow, and still get things done, and still move forward. So my mindset has changed from “this way, or no way” to “either way, lets give it our best.”
I would love the world to know that we/our brand/our story are really real. We really care about the whole wellness of life (mind, body, soul and spirit) and want to make it better for others, even if it is just with sea moss gels or kitchen herbs videos, etc. I want them to see that you don’t have to have the world to change it for the better; just do great service with what you have. We were given sea moss, and put the best we can into it. I am forever grateful for the opportunity to share it and hopefully have it benefit others as it has benefitted me and my family.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
So, we’d HAVE to first get some of that amazing homemade southern goodness from my mom’s kitchen! It may seem simple, but my Mommy throws DOWN! Breakfast, lunch and dinner!
We would have to visit the Eno River in Durham NC for a bridge walk and picnic. Haven in Knightdale is a must for a nature/farm walk, feeding farm animals, enjoying coffee/teas, and herbal treats. Leslie (the owner), her family and staff are AMAZING! They have really built a place of love, peace and joy that you can feel even from the parking lot. We would HAVE to visit The Self Care Marketplace in Raleigh for a sound bath class, apparel, candles, teas/herbs, crystals and other goodies. Kimberly, the owner, is one of the most beautiful women I know, and I just love being around her, experiencing her store and the atmosphere of ease and peace she keeps there. On our cheat eat day we have to enjoy a Raleigh Food Trap Milkshake from The Yard Milkshake Bar in Raleigh. Briana and Roger Kornegay are my love siblings, and what they and their staff provide there with milkshakes and treats, is PURE ENJOYMENT!
Lastly, a Durham Bulls baseball game on a Friday with fireworks postgame, is a big finish to our “best time ever” to dos!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Oh, where do I start? First I’m so thankful to our family for being with us every step of the way; from samplers to market rescues(fast errands on site), babysitters, they’ve been ready and so helpful to keep us going.
Our teachers, Dr. Sebi being the main source of our sea moss discovery; Dr. Aqiyl Aniys, and the plethora of others we’ve learned from.
Our on-site stores, markets and the wonderful teams that help us succeed: Black Farmers’ Market, The Self Care Marketplace (Raleigh, NC), and the Cary Downtown Farmers Market.
All of our customers and followers, you all are cherished and appreciated.
And Shoutout North Carolina for this awesome opportunity to share. Your mission and work is fantastic.
THANK YOU!!
