We had the good fortune of connecting with Bearta Alchacar and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Bearta, how does your business help the community?
Our mission is to provide a platform to promote cross-cultural respect and understanding in our community through free and affordable celebrations of art, culture, traditions and history.

Not everyone have the means to travel but everyone benefits from seeing our beautiful world with diversity in action.

We count on our sponsors and courageous entrepreneurs who pay a fee to be a part of the festival to help support our festivals. Big shout out to them!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
We are the largest international events company in Raleigh area and we draw thousands of attendees to downtown. We love showing how welcoming and kind Raleigh is. Our signature events: International Women’s Day, Atlantic Beach International Food Festival, Raleigh’s International Food Festival, Raleigh’s International Wine Festival. The International Festival and TEDx Raleigh.
We are so happy to stand out as bringing something different, a diverse crowd to Raleigh.
We are excited about our new project: The international film festival in 2024!

We have two more large events this year Oct 21, 2023 The International Wine Festival and Nov 3-5 The International Festival.
We are excited to hold a Naturalization Ceremony for over 120 new US Citizen will be sworn in. We will have thousands of students that will attend on field trips and they will have a blast learning!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Raleigh is an amazing city with a town feel. Every day 63 people here. There are so many good restaurants, bands, museums, festivals. Its proximity to Atlantic Beach, Beaufort, Morehead City, Wilmington and the Blue Ridge Mountains makes it even more unique. Beautiful weather, clean air, and a welcoming city make it home! Three universities, theaters, live bands, and some great mom and pop restaurants make it very unique.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Our success for bringing thousands to downtown Raleigh – (9,000-40,000 attendees) Our goal has always been to provide a platform where groups from over 50 cultural groups come together to celebrate their traditions, their favorite meal, music or favorite folkloric dance.

Thanks to these groups (Food Vendors, Desserts Vendors, Bazaars and Performers) come together to learn about each other. Thanks to a welcoming city of Raleigh that allows us to share these traditions. The talent and the will is there, we just bring everyone together. The most rewarding part is to see attendees try Bollywood, salsa, samba, belly dance, Irish dance, Hawaiian dances , Try a Korean Hot dog, empanada or everyone’s favorite: chimney cakes.

These communities love sharing their dances and food with the community. Our sponsors believe in making these international events accessible to all.
