Meet Avery Groll | Wife | Boy Mom (x2) | Director, Ladies Lifestyle Network Greensboro

We had the good fortune of connecting with Avery Groll and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Avery, do you have any habits that you feel contribute to your effectiveness?
There are several personal routine behaviors, or habits, that I can attribute to gaining success. For starters, I am an advocate for making the bed (though it sounds silly). First thing in the morning, making my bed jump-starts a sense of productivity. I begin the day feeling organized and accomplished before stepping foot out of my room! Another important step in my routine is hydrating. I drink water early and often, which leaves me feeling refreshed and focused throughout the day. Incorporating movement into my daily schedule, even if it is just a walk, is something I choose to do for myself too. It reenergizes my body and my mind! Personally, I am the most productive in a clutter-free environment, so tidying up the space where I live and work is so important to me as well. Combining all of these habits on a daily basis is the perfect recipe for my ongoing success in life and in business! For an added ‘happy’ boost, I love to bring fresh flowers into the house and light a nicely scented candle while working from home. It’s a simple gesture that brings me so much joy!
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Being the Community Director of Ladies Lifestyle Network in Greensboro for the Triad, I am the lifestyle blogger, social media presence, and event coordinator for our chapter! I plan, host, and execute monthly social events; partnering with and promoting local women & business around the Triad. LLN Social Events provide a platform to highlight local influential ladies as guest speakers, promote local businesses through sponsorship or featured vendor opportunities, and give back to our community by donating a portion of ticket proceeds to local charities each month. Our socials are all about personal development, female empowerment, and professional networking for women in all walks of life! We are more than just our social events though, we are a national presence (in 16 cities across the country and expanding!) that is all about supporting our local communities through online marketing as well.
Collaborating and lifting up the women and businesses in our area is what makes this network so fun and unique! Every social event is different, but the long-lasting connections, ongoing referrals, and building of business partnerships is what makes our network special. Cultivating a community of like-minded, high-achieving women from the ground up has been challenging and rewarding. Consistency is key and I’m seeing the benefit of showing up for my local community too!
Getting involved with Ladies Lifestyle Network has allowed me the opportunity to thrive both personally and professionally. After living in the Triad area for only 1 year, at the time having 2 boys under the age of 3 years old, I decided to launch a local chapter of something totally new. Crazy, right!? But I needed an outlet and a sense of professionalism again. Stepping out of my comfort zone, stretching myself to uncomfortable lengths, and encompassing all of my passions…I’ve honestly been able to create an incredible community! Representing this chapter has lead to the most amazing connections and opportunities. I’ve truly been able to get plugged into the Triad and make a positive impact through something that is much bigger than myself. <3
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
There are so many amazing places to explore within the Triad! I would absolutely have to recommend visiting the following places at least once to any visitor:
– Country Park for a walk or pedal-boat experience
– The Science Center (especially if kids are involved!)
– Melrose for coffee & cool vibes
– Chez Genese or Sage Mule for Brunch
– Maxi B’s or Delicious Bakery for a sweet treat
– Mizumi for all-you-can eat sushi
– Blue Denim for the best Cajun shrimp & grits
– East of Texas for amazing margaritas & tex-mex (having lived in Austin…it’s been hard to find – but they nail it!)
– Joyners Bar for a classy cocktail
– The Blooming Board for ladies’ night
– JOLO Winery for gorgeous views…and of course wine
– 113 Brewhouse for live music & rooftop views
– Pig Pounders Brewery for their family-friendly atmosphere…and ping-pong!
There are honestly too many favorites to list, but these would definitely be some of my top recommendations!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would not be where I am today, doing what I enjoy, without the unconditional love and ongoing support of my husband, Wesley. He has always been my biggest fan and advocate; allowing me to pursue my passions while having the opportunity to stay home and raise our young boys.
Another individual I have to acknowledge is Kacey, the founder of Ladies Lifestyle Network. She believes in me and entrusts me to represent the LLN brand through my own local chapter. Her guidance and coaching from the beginning was instrumental to me laying the foundation for successful community building.
