Meet Ashley Nesbit | Food travel & lifestyle influencer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashley Nesbit and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ashley, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
God is ..his grace and allowing me to display my gifts and passions in a creative way
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My work is about storytelling through food, travel, beauty, and lifestyle. I focus on creating real and relatable content that connects with people who look like me and value freedom, joy, and culture.
What makes me different is that I don’t just create for views . I create to make people feel something. I always want to inspire and keep it real.
It hasn’t always been easy. There were times I felt overlooked, burned out, or unsure of my next step. But I kept going. I learned to believe in myself, charge my worth, and be okay with growing at my own pace.
One thing I want the world to know is that my brand is about freedom … the freedom to live life fully, share your story, and take up space without shrinking. I’m proud of how far I’ve come, and I’m excited for what’s next.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend came to visit for a week, we’d be eating, laughing, and exploring nonstop. I’d definitely start with food trucks ! 33rd Main is one of my favorites. Then we’d hit up some amazing Black-owned restaurants like Miss Dee’s Kitchen for Haitian food. For brunch, we’d go to Church and Union or Sea Level ..both are vibes and have great menus.
We’d check into the JW Marriott or the new Moxy Hotel .We’d spend some time at Camp North End. It’s one of my favorite spots in Charlotte you don’t even need a plan, there’s always something going on, from pop-ups to art to music.
We’d also explore South End, hit up some rooftop bars, and maybe do a chill spa day or museum stop. And of course, we’d find a cute dessert spot or two along the way.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My family ! All of them lol . My husband, children, mom , in laws and friends
