Meet Amanda Garcia | Interior Decorator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Amanda Garcia and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Amanda, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
My favorite quote is “I am going to make everything around me beautiful, that will be my life.” By Elsie de Wolfe.
To me this quote means that I want to create beauty in everything that I do, not only decorating and designing, but also as the person I am and how I treat others. I want to create beauty in every sense of the word! I also manage short term rentals as well as being a real estate agent, and I want to create a beautiful space for my guests to enjoy as well as a beautiful experience for guests and clients as well!
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I think the biggest thing that sets me apart from others is my communication with my clients and ability to connect with them in order to give them what they are looking for. It hasn’t been easy building the business and it is still quite a roller coaster ride, especially in this market! I think the biggest thing I’ve learned is to just be patient and persistent and the right clients will present themselves when the time is right. I’d say the biggest thing I want others to know is that I’m here to help with decorating and design needs and I truly care about the well being of the clients and creating a space they can really connect with. I love helping others whether it be setting up a short term rental for them, designing their home or office space, helping them decluttering or create a more calming atmosphere, or even just coaching them through the process! I’m here to help!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Definitely Dirt Bag Ales, Bluemoon Cafe downtown. Leclairs General Store, Curate Essentials, Winterbloom Tea, Turner lane, Bit of Carolina- pretty much just hanging out downtown!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to shout out to 2 people/groups of people!
1. Shelby Osborne Johnson and her team from Five Pillars Nation (previously Five Pillars Realty Group) for giving me my start with setting up short term rentals!
2. My husband, Ruben Garcia, for always pushing me to get out of my comfort zone!
