Hi Aaron, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?

“To be perfectly candid, my initial motivation was a need for financial stability. Little did I know then that the journey as an event and personal photographer would become a profound exploration into capturing my clients’ most significant life moments. Building the confidence to consider myself a skilled artist and a successful business owner was a journey that took time.

I discovered that creating compelling photos goes beyond artistic talent; it involves mastering the art of running a business. Over the past decade, I’ve embraced a continuous learning curve in this dynamic field. What started as a survival strategy transformed into a genuine passion.

Reflecting on that period, I find irony in one of my favorite sayings—something I love and hate: “Fake it till you make it.” The resilience cultivated during those times became integral to my entrepreneurial spirit.

Running a business, I realized, shares common ground with customer service, where the mantra is, “The customer isn’t always right, but finding common ground is crucial.” Giving my best while maintaining personal boundaries has been a key lesson. After all, in both business and customer service, it’s about striking a balance—giving as much as possible without compromising oneself.”

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
HA, I would tell them to grab a light stand and go to work. My clients have the best events and the best parties. Its pretty simple LOL!
