How do you think about work life balance?

24 hours in a day, 168 hours in a week. Junior investment bankers regularly work 80-90 hours a week. Many other high profile professions require the same level of commitment. Often those on the outside claim that working 80-90 hours a week is bad/wrong/terrible/silly/etc but we’ve spoken with so many folks who say working that much has been the best decision of their life – it allowed them to develop a deep and strong skill set far faster than would have been possible otherwise. In other words, by working 2x the hours, they were able to generate 5x or more the rewards. And depending on where you are in your career, investing heavily in your skills and competence can pay dividends for a long time.
The most important factor is to give the audience what they come to see. They come to see a comedy show to get away from all the problems of every day living even if it’s just for a couple of hours. They want to laugh and not have to worry about being offended or having their political or religious views come into question. They want comedians who they can relate to and not one that is on their soapbox pretending to be better than everyone else. Read more>>
Honestly, my clients. They are what made my business survive these 5 years. They have went with me thru the literally hardest 3 years of my life and stood by me through it all. Throughout COVID and the shut down they reached out and we kept the business going thru at-home facial kits. They continue to share my business on all of their social media, word-of-mouth and with their friends and family daily. They listen to my advice and actually follow-through which gives them the results they are searching. Without my clients, I would not be a business. Read more>>
The most important factor behind my success and my brand Hogar Images is really marketing. A lot of people for a number of industries say, “It’s all about who you know.” To an extent that statement is true. Getting your brand’s name out there, and even your story is the most effective tool in overall success. If people know who you are and what your story is, then it’s easier to rally them to your cause. In my case our latest project has been producing a professional short film called BLACKOUT. The skills that I’ve learned in working for media companies and ad agencies through the years, as well as creative tools I’ve picked up along the way have really prepared me for such a large venture. Connection.! Success is a relative term. I have not seen much financial success however that was never the point. The women in my life are a key factor to my success. I can’t go without mentioning my mother, who was a boss and powerhouse herself. She is the most inspiring problem solver I know, commanding the attention of any room she walks into and possessing such an inviting spirit. She, by far, has been my biggest cheerleader. Thanks to her, I quickly notice the people who are in my corner. My mother-in-law, although we come from different backgrounds and thought processes, has really played an instrumental role in making sure I have what I need, whether it’s assisting with my kids, my home, or my wardrobe (buying me clothes, ironing my shirts, you name it). The most important factor behind my success and the success behind Grandyworldwide is education. Education is the key to my formative years and experience in fine art and how to think critically. Every skill had to be learned, so to take the time and actually do the homework, as I am primarily self taught and not formally trained in several of the skills I have acquired. You know that education is the key factor to everything really. We come out of the womb not knowing anything so by educating oneself you are training ones tastes and loves towards whatever you look for. I have been training mine towards that which is true, good, and beautiful, which to me embodies art. Read more>>
