Decision Makers Series: to start or to not to start

Deciding to start a business is an unusual decision. It’s often considered irrational and yet for many it’s the best decision they’ve ever made. So we asked folks to think back to when they were starting their businesses and to tell us about their decision making process.
My thought process behind starting my own business was that I wanted to be free. I didn’t want any restrictions on how i could develop as an artist and as a man. So, I knew quitting my job and creating my own way to earn income would allow me full control with my time. Read more>>
I started my business during a time when I was experiencing grief and depression at an all time high. I had to find a purpose to keep getting up and showing up up for those who I loved and who loved me. I wanted to encourage people, especially women to keep pushing and to Get Up, Get out and Live. My thought process behind starting my own business was driven by a profound desire to support and uplift young girls. As a substitute teacher, I observed the varied challenges they faced, and it became clear to me that while some had a strong support system, others did not. I Am Boundless Pageant/Life Coaching was started out of my passion for life and helping others. When I first became a National Title holder I received numerous inquiries about coaching. During that period, I was touring the United States and did not sense the timing was ideal. However, as my reign drew to a close, I felt a profound desire to make a significant impact.
