Meet Tiffany Moton | Entrepreneur/ Real Estate Broker

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tiffany Moton and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tiffany, how do you define success?
To me, success is about living a life aligned with the goals I’ve set, the values I hold, and the impact I want to make. I’ve accomplished many of the goals I once dreamed of, even those I imagined as a child, and for the ones I haven’t yet reached, I’m still actively and joyfully pursuing them.
Success means having the freedom to create my own schedule as an entrepreneur, the presence of my family and their unwavering support, and the fulfillment of giving back to my community in meaningful ways. I’m grateful to be in a place where I can now set even higher goals both personally and professionally while lifting others up along the way through mentorship and service.
To me, it’s not just about what I’ve achieved, but who I’ve become and how I use that growth to make a difference.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My business is rooted in a passion for people, purpose, and property. As the owner of Moton Real Estate in partnership with Allen Tate Realtors, I specialize in luxury residential sales and offer expertise in relocations, investment properties, and working with high-profile clients including athletes and entertainers. What sets my brand apart is the personalized, concierge level service I provide to every client, along with strategic marketing, deep local knowledge, and a commitment to building lasting relationships.
I didn’t take the traditional path into real estate. I began my career in higher education, working as a program coordinator and teaching First Year Experience courses. That foundation gave me strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills, tools that have been invaluable in real estate. Transitioning into real estate wasn’t easy. I faced the same uncertainties many entrepreneurs experience: fear of the unknown, financial risk, and the challenge of building a reputation in a competitive market. But I stayed focused, leaned into my strengths, and built a business grounded in integrity, education, and connection.
One of my proudest accomplishments is being able to give back, both through community service and mentorship. From serving on multiple committees through the Canopy Realtor Association to volunteering with organizations like Second Harvest Food Bank and mentoring student athletes in the ACC’s Panthers to Pros program, giving back is a core part of my brand. I also use my platform as a host on the Emmy nominated show The American Dream TV to highlight Charlotte’s dynamic real estate market and the vibrant lifestyle this city offers.
I’ve learned that success is never a solo journey. It takes support, consistency, and a willingness to grow through challenges. I want the world to know that my story is one of resilience, evolution, and service. My brand is not just about selling homes, it’s about empowering people, elevating communities, and leaving a lasting legacy.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting Charlotte for a week, I’d make sure they experienced the perfect mix of culture, cuisine, and community. This city is full of hidden gems and unforgettable energy, and I’d want them to see it all.
Day 1
We’d kick things off with a walk through Uptown, starting at the Mint Museum or Bechtler Museum of Modern Art to dive into the local art scene. For dinner, we’d head to Mariposa inside the Mint for globally inspired small plates and cocktails. If the night calls for it, we’d grab rooftop drinks at Merchant & Trade to take in the skyline.
Day 2
We’d start with a casual breakfast at Not Just Coffee in South End, then stroll the Rail Trail to check out murals and local boutiques. For lunch, Supperland in Plaza Midwood is a must for elevated Southern food. That evening, we’d catch a Hornets game at Spectrum Center or a Charlotte FC match if it’s soccer season. Either way, the energy is electric.
Day 3
Art meets nature at Camp North End, where we’d explore galleries, pop up shops, and food stalls. That night, If there’s live music in town, especially jazz or indie, I’d take them to The Evening Muse or Middle C Jazz.
Day 4
We’d spend the day at the U.S. National Whitewater Center, kayaking or zip-lining, followed by craft brews at Sycamore Brewing or Wooden Robot. For dinner, Dilworth Tasting Room offers a chill, upscale vibe and great wine.
Day 5
It’s a Panthers day. If it’s football season, we’re tailgating at Bank of America Stadium. Before the game, brunch at Church and Union. Afterward, we’d celebrate (or recover) with French food at La Belle Helene or cocktails at The Crunkleton.
Day 6
We’d slow things down with a wellness morning, maybe a yoga class or spa session at The Ritz-Carlton Spa, followed by shopping at SouthPark Mall or checking out local makers at Charlotte Collective. Dinner would be sushi at Mizu or steak at Steak 48.
Day 7
To close out the trip, brunch with live music at Suffolk Punch, then a relaxing walk through Freedom Park. One last cheers at Novelty House Rooftop for the view and a photo worthy farewell.
Charlotte has an amazing mix of culture, flavor, and fun. Whether you’re into art, music, sports, or food, there’s always something exciting to explore and even more reasons to come back.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Without a doubt, my shoutout goes to my husband, Kevin. He has been a constant source of encouragement and support from day one. In fact, he was one of the first people who truly believed I should pursue real estate and more importantly, he believed in my ability before I could even see it myself.
Kevin has been my number one supporter throughout this journey, standing by me emotionally and practically, especially in those early days when taking the leap felt uncertain. His belief in me gave me the confidence to go after my goals, and I genuinely don’t think I’d be where I am today without his love, patience, and unwavering support. He deserves just as much credit in my story as I do.
