Meet Brii Cher’ri | Erotic Photographer + Intimacy + Life Coach

We had the good fortune of connecting with Brii Cher’ri and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brii, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
I’m originally from a super small town in New York. Super small town, literally 24 people in my graduating class. I wasn’t popular, or even accepted; there were 8 girls, and I was the only one not invited to the sleepover, if you get my drift. This idea of being a certain way, looking a certain way, and acting a certain way to be accepted + liked was pushed onto me super young. Even in my home life, I had a family of women who hated their bodies, talked down to them on a daily basis, but then would come at me and treat your body like a temple when it comes to sex. Wait what? The tone for how to view my body and self was so skewed that I feel into my not giving a …. era, and that’s where the discovery of owning your body and your self authentically, which eventually led to learning how to own and flourish in your sexual self, came into play. I use every memory, experience, and lesson from my upbringing and my present to understand and teach others how to step into themselves in the most messy, test of strength but so freaking beautiful way.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My art as an erotic photographer is honest, unapologetically raw, and so real. But it is also daring, transformative, and beyond the mainstream. I pride myself on not just creating stunning photographs—but experiences that truly awaken something primal and deeply personal in my clients. By using this experience to create deep emotional connection and understand and helping people—men, women, non-binary, couples, thoruples, WHOEVER, not just see themselves as strong, sensual beings, but feel it in their bones. I used to be afraid to break the rules in my work, but I’ve evolved fully into knowing that societies rules are just chains holding us back from the greatness we can achieve and are keeping us locked in the boxes in which they can control us, but nowI break the chains with my art and in the stories my clients have to tell,
I’m most proud of the safe, judgment-free space I’ve built for people to be seen and celebrated exactly as they are. By creating a sanctuary where vulnerability meets power, where individuals can shed the shame and societal expectations to explore their sensuality freely. Every client walks away not just with breathtaking images, but with a piece of themselves they might have forgotten or never realized was there. I’m honestly so proud of the thousand plus transformations I have created and stories I have been able to tell and help rewrite those who saw themselves being the supporting character to their own life instead of the main and helping them step into the power of being in control of their life, the sexuality and themselves.
When it comes down to it I’ve faced the same challenges my clients do— the body insecurities, navigating a world that tries to shame female sexuality, and fighting to carve out a space for myself in an industry that often favors the mainstream and the safe. Most boudoir isn’t as bold and raw or real when it comes to sexuality and sensuality,But I refuse to let any of that stop me, even when the trials have been tiring. I orevaikl because I am worth it, but even more importantly all the lives of my clients are worth being free of the restraints of “being normal” and only allowing yourself to be what society has told you to be. I’ve learned to lean into the discomfort, and turned my pain into passion, and refused to conform to what the world thought art—or I or anyone—should look like.
The lessons I’ve learned along the way are the foundation of my work: that vulnerability is strength, that authenticity is truth, and your truth is what sets you free, its magnetic, and that when you embrace your truth—messy, sexy, unapologetic—you truly empower others to do the same. I’ve learned that people, especially women, don’t need fixing or improving; they need a mirror that reflects their power back to them, which is what my art does, but they also need a supportive person to show them and support them in navigating their doubts and insecurities, and that’s what my experience does.
my brand breaks the barriers because I’m not here to play it safe or stay inside the lines. I have one life, as do my clients and everyone else, and I am done letting anyone but me dictate how that life is lived. My work isn’t just erotic boudoir photography—it’s a fight against shame, a celebration of raw sensuality, and an invitation to live fully and freely in our bodies. I’m here to help people see themselves as art, exactly as they are—unfiltered, unedited, and undeniably beautiful.
I provide an experience that is curated and personal, where coaching is included, activities, assignments, education, and tasks that create a pathway for my clients to truly redefine breaking out of the box they have been pushing their whole life before stepping in front of my camera in an intense emotional and erotic photography experience that is transformative and liberating like no other.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend were to visit, we would spend time exploring our little town of West Jefferson, having coffee at my favorite drive-through coffee place, Talias, and taking it to the park to sit by the stream. I would explore downtown and look at the shops and the art galleries with her, and most definitely get some cheese at the Ashe County Cheese Factory. We love cheese. I’d take her to my pottery studio at Lost Province Arts in Lansing and give her a tour, as well as grab lunch at either Pie on the Mountain, the best pizza ever, or The Liars Bench for delicious sandwiches.
Wed go for a hike up Mount Jefferson State Park and enjoy authentic Cuban at Havana Cafe at least once!
We’d use a day or two to head to Asheville and explore the artsy, beautiful town, and a day in Boone to get coffee at The Lions Den and go thrift shopping.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
When I think about my success and struggles, because to be honest they are one in the same, my partner is the person who has been my foundation. He has been there through it all and believed in me more than I ever believed in myself. When others would ask, why or what if, he would say, Yes, you can; let’s make a plan. There was never any doubt in him that I would flourish no matter how many times I “failed” or something went array he held me down and still does on a daily.
Even with a supportive partner, there is nothing like having someone in your corner who just gets it. My success is attributed to knowing if I have a question or need to be leveled out, hyped up, or a hail mary, I can always go to Tiffany Joyce of Hype Girl Boudoir in Jacksonville, Florida. We met on a blind date sort of thing and made a 24-hour car drive to canada together for a boudoir conference and have been best friends ever since. She is such an inspiration in the work she does, the support she gives, and the ways she believes in me, but honestly, the way she has always held me accountable and pushed me to be my best.
