Meet Jas Hart | Jewelry Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jas Hart and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jas, any advice for those thinking about whether to keep going or to give up?
I think if you have an idea that your heart won’t let you give up on you should keep going. For me it was fashion and accessories. Since I was a child I would play dress up. I loved putting together looks.
In High School I wanted to attend the Savannah College of Art and Design to pursue my interest. Unfortunately, I let fear and the projections of others stop me from working towards my dream, but I never stopped loving and thinking about fashion.
I would literally day dream about it.
There’s a quote that I love and it goes “Don’t quit your day dream.”
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Everything that I create comes from a purpose driven place. This is a God given dream, so I craft with passion, love, attention, and intention.
All my pieces are a form of visual storytelling for those who love truth.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to take a moment to recognize 2 people that have had an impact on my journey as an artist. Firstly my dad, he would always tell me things like “you can do whatever you put your mind to.” He taught me things about how to be a person of character that I still hold close til this day.
Another person that has been a source of mentorship as well as inspiration is Tonya Miller Cross, CEO and visionary of Accented Glory. Growing up in a small town I didn’t see very many people pursing careers in fashion or arts.
Mrs. Cross was a God send because not only was she an entrepreneur/designer/artist but she was someone that looked like me, doing the things I day dreamed about in my hometown.
