Meet Meshea Garrett | Bartender, Bar Manager, Liquor Caterer, Mobile Bar Owner.

We had the good fortune of connecting with Meshea Garrett and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Meshea, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I was motivated to start my own business after working for someone doing Liquor Catering for Funiture Market one year….
I spoke with the and was mentored by them for some time. Once I worked under them for awhile I came up with my own business plan.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I sale a service and convenience. I have a liquor catering business and mobile bar. My Main focus is Weddings and receptions, Private events, corporate parties.
I am based in North Carolina at the moment but also willing to travel for business as well. I Also manage, bar rescue service for bars and restaurants and I create bar menus.

Hard work, determination, patience and support has gotten me where I am today! It has not always been easy! I have faced a lot of challenges throughout the years. I have learned from everything I have been through and have really enjoyed and appreciated this journey.

I have learned a lot of different lessons in this industry of work. I work with a lot of different people and have done many types of events. I take all of my lessons with me to continue to make my business more successful.

I want people to know Shea as a fun-loving person, hard working, positive good contagious energy, that loves to create experiences for the most memorable and important moments of your life!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I am currently in the Durham area. I enjoy the downtown Durham Area! I would take them to a couple of the speakeasys downtown, some of the rooftop bars… Its a couple of food places that I have yet to try so we would try them together. I would also take her to the Duke Gardens Parks to sight see and take in all the beautifulness, maybe have a picnic. Since its a week long trip we would probably head over to the Raleigh area and check some places out in their downtown area as well.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I can dedicate this Shoutout to My mentor Marthy! I started with her as a bartender when I was 21 years young. Working at an Event club in Greensboro, Nc. She has always thought about me when it comes to doing events and business. She still does now. She taught me a lot throughout the years we worked together. Now she always recommends my business and I get a lot of customers from her recommendations. Thank you as always Marthy!
